About Us
As Southwestern Connecticut’s Workforce Investment Board, The WorkPlace is charged with guiding the region’s workforce development system. In that role, The WorkPlace examines regional workforce dynamics and engages partners in crafting innovative solutions to the most pressing issues facing individuals in the workforce and employers seeking qualified labor.
The WorkPlace administers workforce development funds and coordinates providers of job training and education programs. But its role is much larger. The WorkPlace believes that ideas can effect great change – so it acts as convener, catalyst, collaborator, and advocate for workforce development throughout the region, state, and nation. The WorkPlace brings new thinking to the workforce table.
