About Us

CLASP Homes is a nonprofit organization that has been serving adults with autism and related developmental disabilities since 1982 in the Fairfield County area. Currently, we serve 81 people who reside either in a group home, supervised apartment, or participate in our Career and Community Options day program. Our philosophy is based on the principle that the people we serve are adults, who with proper support can become involved and valued members of their community.

CLASP group homes and supervised apartments are located in the towns of Westport, Norwalk, Wilton, Fairfield, Trumbull, Stratford, Shelton, and Easton. Their Career and Community Options day program is located in Fairfield. The primary purpose of CLASP is to establish long term supported living situations in which people can enjoy life and establish meaningful and fulfilling relationships. We focus on creating a family environment and participation in their community.

CLASP also has a well appointed Sense-It-Room. It is one of the ways we have begun to offer services that may be beneficial to individuals with sensory disorders, including those on the autism spectrum.
