The Silent Business Killer – Form I-9, Audits and Aftermath
Form I-9 sits at the intersection of immigration and business law. As a business owner, HR professional, or hiring manager, you probably already know this about the form. It is the one where you confirm that the candidate is authorized to work in the U.S. This talk will address the important things to watch out for when completing the form, some easy compliance tips, and what happens when the Department of Labor comes for your audit. It will also shed light on how the potential fines could really hurt a business of any size
