About Us

The Joseph J. Clinton VFW (Post 399) was chartered in Westport 97 years ago. We have 227 Veteran members who have served in Harms way.

Non-veterans may join the Auxiliary providing that a member of their families (no more than two degrees of separation) is a Veteran or VFW.

We have three halls that we rent out. Our largest hall caters up to 200 people and we've hosted all kinds of parties, including, weddings, graduations, bereavements, class reunions, and more.

We serve LUNCH every day and DINNER on Friday nights.

We have a 40' Bar (Canteen) where friends meet and can enjoy a drink. All non members are asked to sign in at bar where a member will sign you in.

Our dining room faces the beautiful Saugatuck River.

Our 34 boat slip and marina are open to the public.

Our Mission: foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts; serve our veterans, the military, and our communities; and advocate on behalf of all veterans.

Our Vision: Ensure that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements, and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this great country.
